Samarqand, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Petra, Orotava, Ulan Bator, Patagonia, Yucatan, Uagadugu, names which bring to mind legends and journeys, names of places who make us think about famous adventurers, but which are accessible nowadays to the traveller who so desires. In its first thirteen episodes, “Of tales and travels” takes us to places which keep our capacity to be surprised alive. We are going to see things which we could not even imagine, people who speak strange languages, who live in a setting completely different from ours, who enjoy a gastronomy which amazes us, who dress in a totally different way…
And, still, as we have said, these are trips which anyone can make. This is another attractive feature of the series. The viewer is not going to see heroic deeds by supermen, but people, landscapes, animals, monuments that he/she can see in situ if he wishes to do so. In “Of tales and travels” we see everything with the eyes of a traveller rather than an expert. That is why we are surprised by the light, the colours, the music, the food, the monuments, the scents, the people… Because in addition, we have been to all those places with an open and receptive mind, in order to grasp everything around us. We wanted the series to be varied, that is, we have travelled to different continents, different cultures and different climates. At the end, the imprint we want to leave on the viewer is the diversity of our planet in all its aspects.
