The story of Gurutze, Fatimetu for all the Saharan people, is the story of a woman who, for her love for an Arab-Saharan man, moves from the green and rainy Basque land to the acrid and dry desert; goes through war and exile, marries Mohamed Salem and bears with dignity the adversities of the bombings, the harsh life in the desert, in the camps attacked by Morocco and she gains the respect and recognition of the children, the women and the elderly from the Saharan tribes.
